Trish is excited to join Scarborough Public Library as the new Adult Services Manager! Originally from Denver, Colorado, she moved to Maine in 2017 to be closer to family and has happily called Maine home ever since.
It probably won’t take long to discover that Trish really, really loves books. She’s an avid reader and lifelong book collector whose personal library has just surpassed 1,000 books. She’ll read just about anything, but has a particular soft spot for horror, literary fiction, romance, and books that are a little strange, atmospheric, or hard to stop thinking about. She’s always happy to talk about what she’s reading or add another recommendation to her never-ending TBR.
Her path to librarianship wasn’t exactly a straight line. Trish earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology before realizing that a career in libraries would allow her to bring together so many of the things she loves: books, people, learning, and community. She went on to earn her Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Denver in 2025.
When she doesn’t have a book in her hands, Trish enjoys cross-stitching, watching movies, camping, and spending time outdoors. She loves visiting new places and has a lifelong goal of visiting every U.S. National Park, so there’s a good chance she’s already daydreaming about her next trip.
We're so happy to have her here! Pop by the reference desk to introduce yourself next time you're in!
